We believe in the divine inspiration of the scriptures, given to man in the holy Bible, which consists of 39 Old Testament books and 27 New Testament books. The Scripture is the final and sole authority in all matters of faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20,21)
We believe in one holy and loving God—eternal, self-existent, infinite, and immutable—and that He has one nature, essence, and substance; yet He manifests Himself to man in the Trinity as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Timothy 1:17; James 1:17; 1 John 4:4)
The Person and Work of Christ
Jesus Christ, eternally existing, is the only begotten Son of God, Who became a man totally apart from sin, being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, and is 100% God and 100% man. Jesus Christ walked this earth as a sinless man, performing miracles and glorifying God, with a single purpose in mind; “to seek and to save that which was lost.” He did so by dying on the cross and paying the sin debt that we owe. He was buried and was raised again on the third day. (Luke 1:30-35; John 1:1-15; Philippians 2:5-8; Colossians 1:1-15)
The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit of God is a person of the Godhead. The Holy Spirit enters a person and seals him/her upon placing his/her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and lives within from that moment on. The Holy Spirit teaches and guides the believer through his/her Christian walk and will never leave nor forsake the believer. The Holy Spirit is sent to regenerate, sanctify, seal, and indwell all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:2; I Corinthians 2:13; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19–20; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:13)
Salvation and Security of the Believer
We believe that all men are sinners by nature and are therefore separated from God. Man is lost and must be born again to enter the Kingdom of God. Salvation is by grace alone through personal faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross. Once you are born again, you are a child of God forever, never to be pardoned, excused, or willfully dismissed from the family of God. (Genesis 5:1-5; John 1:12; 3:3-7; Acts 16:31; Acts 20:21; Ephesians 2:8, 9; John 6:37; John 10:29; )
The local church is a group of believers baptized by water, banded together for edification, exhortation, and evangelism as commanded by Christ in the Great Commission: preaching the Gospel to every creature and teaching other to carry on the Work of Christ. (Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; I Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 1:22, 23; II Timothy 2:2) We believe in the autonomy of the local church, free of any external authority or control (Acts 13:1-4; 15:19-31; 20:28, Romans 16:1, 4; I Corinthians 3:9,16; 5:4-7,13; I Peter 5:1-4).
The Second Coming of Christ
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ Himself is coming again in the air at any moment to catch up His Church and to reward their service; there will be a seven year tribulation period, after which Christ shall return visibly to the earth to set up His Kingdom of one thousand years of righteous rule; after this will be eternal judgment for unbelievers, while the believers spend eternity in the fullness of joy in Heaven with the Lord. (Matthew 24:29-42; I Thessalonians 4:16-18; Revelation 19:11-20:15)
The Great Commission
We believe that Jesus Christ has given the church a great commission to proclaim the gospel to all nations, and that salvation is made available to anyone who will believe on Jesus, regardless of nation, tribe, ethnic group, language, or culture; making disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost and teaching them to observe all things (Matthew 28:19–20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46–48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:20).
